REAL MADRID STARS RETURN TO FULL TRAINING WITH LESS THAN 48 HOURS LEFT FOR THE DECIDING CLASH AGAINST PARIS SAINT GERMAIN.
With
Real Madrid walking into the Parc de Princes with a two-goal advantage,
few would bet against the Los Blancos given their incredible history in
the Champions League. However, given their form in the La Liga, and
PSG’s star-studded team things could go anyway. But with rumors and
reports saying that the reigning La Liga champions could be without both
Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, things could have gone from bad to worse.
But according to reports from Marca and
even Real Madrid themselves, both the German international and the
Croatian international have trained on Sunday with the rest of the team
following the victory over Getafe on Saturday. While Luka Modric has
been out with a thigh injury, Toni Kroos has been sidelined thanks to a
knee problem, with neither of the two playing since the first leg on the
14th of February. The
German international has been a key part of Real Madrid ever since his
arrival and played a big part last season as the La Liga side swept
aside Barcelona to win both the La Liga and the Champions League. Kroos
has started 19 out of 27 league games this season for the club and
alongside Luka Modric has been Los Blancos’ creator in chief.
However,
if they don’t pass a fitness test before the match, Zinedine Zidane
still has the likes of Mateo Kovacic, Dani Ceballos, Marcos Llorente and
even Isco Alarcon to play in his midfield three, alongside Casemiro.
But neither of the three names above expect Isco, is close to the level
that either Toni Kroos and Luka Modric play at, and could potentially
struggle to win the midfield battle against Adrien Rabiot, Marco
Verratti, and Javier Pastore.
AUTHOR’S TAKE:
If Real Madrid
does get both Toni Kroos and Luka Modric back in-time for the second leg
against PSG, it would be a massive boost to both their hopes of another
Champions League trophy and a potential win against PSG. However, if
they don’t then they need their replacements to play beyond brilliantly
against a good PSG team, to help them with a win.
